What is a pedal kayak?
A pedal kayak is just like riding a recumbent bicycle on the water. They are ultra stable, super comfortable, easy to use and require no prior experience.
Do I need to wear a life jacket while pedal kayaking?
We always reccomend wearing a life jacket which is complementary with every rental. State law requires that anyone under the age of 13 must wear a life jacket at all times. Anyone older is required by law to have a life jacket on board with them. You can bring your own life jacket with you or use one of ours at no extra charge.
Can kids ride in a pedal kayak?
You bet! A child under 100lbs can sit comfortably in the back on the pedal kayak.
Can I bring my dog on a pedal kayak?
Your pooch is more than welcome to accompany you on a single kayak, double kayak or pedal kayak! At this time we do not allow dogs on SUP’s. We ask that you keep your dog on a leash at all times and please clean up any messes!
Can my kid rent a pedal kayak?
We have put kids of all ages, typically 8 years or older, in the drivers seat. It’s all about being tall enough to reach the pedals and having a little bit of length strength to move the boat though the water. Kids usually have a blast on the pedal kayak.
Can I fish from a pedal kayak?
Absolutely! That is exactly what these boats were designed for. Great for navigation, super boyant and easy to stand on. We don’t supply and fishing gear so be sure to bring your own.
Do you have a double pedal kayak?
We get asked this question a lot and unfortunately right now we do not offer a pedal kayak that holds two adults.
